Beth Uesseler Boman, age 53, of Corydon, IN passed away Wednesday evening, Sept. 17th at Baptist East Hospital surrounded by her family. Beth, a native of New Middletown, Indiana, was born May 18, 1972. She was the daughter of Carl and Carol Uesseler.
Beth graduated from Corydon Central High in 1990. She was a special education teacher for South Harrison Community Schools. She was loved by her students, their families, and her co-workers. She was a strong advocate for special needs students and their families in the community and at school. Beth's generosity, kindness, and deep love for Christ and for others made her a beloved member of the Corydon community. Beth was recently received into St. Michael Orthodox Church.
Beth was preceded in death by her father, Carl Uesseler, and her father-in-law Bud Boman. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 27 years, Marc Boman, her children, Caroline, Alex (Sophia), Benjamin, and Mei; her mother, Carol Uesseler; her four siblings, Jill Fitzgerald (Rob), Sarah Carl (Mark), John Uesseler (Erin), and Carrie Montgomery (Alan); her sister-in-law Maureen Frushour (Jerry); her mother-in-law Dona Boman; 16 nieces and nephews, and her "sister" Sona Ngov. She was joyfully anticipating the arrival of her first grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025 from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at St. Michael Orthodox Church, 3701 St. Michael Church Dr.,
Louisville, KY.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Orthodox Church immediately followed by a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. at Salem United Church of Christ of New Middletown, 2060 Payton Rd. SE, New Middletown, Indiana.
Old Capitol Church, 141 West Heidelberg Rd. NW, Corydon, Indiana will host a meal and fellowship the same day between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather, reminisce, offer their condolences, and share a meal. This is a casual affair and the family invites any family and friends to join them for the Mercy Meal.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Beth's name to the fund for "Salem UCC Cemetery, New Middletown" (mail to Edward Gunther 2435 Ten Dollar Rd, Corydon, IN 47112) or to CareFarmingNetwork.org. Care Farming Network uses therapeutic farming to promote health and well-being and belonging. Care Farms provide care and support to diverse populations, such as those with intellectual developmental disabilities. This was an organization near and dear to Beth's heart.
