Beth "Buffy" Brashers, 75, of Washington, went to be with her loving savior in Christ on Monday September 1, 2025 in her home with her daughters by her side.
Beth was born May 30, 1950 in Kewanee to the late William and Eva Baer Wright. She married Michael Lee Brashers on December 27, 1970 in Washington. He preceded her in death in 2011.
She was a loving mother and is survived by her two beautiful girls, Tammy Stone of Washington and Heidi (Eric) LeCrone of Bethany, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her nine siblings, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Paul and Bill Wright, and her son-in-law, Mark Stone.
She will be remembered for her love of the outdoors, especially working in her yard, camping, fishing, watching birds, and capturing memories through photography. For 16 years, she gave her time as a dedicated volunteer at Carle Methodist Hospital. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Dallas Cowboys. Music was also a great joy in her life, and she delighted others with her singing as well as her harmonica, piano, and guitar playing. She was also well known for her apple butter, buckeyes, and the many other goodies she lovingly baked and shared with others. Above all, she loved spending time with her family-her siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren-and with her dear friends in Christ. Her warmth, laughter, and love for life will be deeply missed.
Beth's family will receive friends from 3-5 pm Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Monday, September 8, 2025 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
