Mary Beth Arendall Gurley, 74, has parted this life on Saturday, July 27 at Hardin Medical Center.
Mrs. Gurley was born on August 29, 1949 to Joe and Nita Tidwell Arendall of Adamsville, TN.
After graduating from Adamsville High School she attended Freed-Hardeman.
She married Richard Lee Gurley of Savannah, TN. They lived in Memphis and Germantown, TN for 38 years, before retiring to their lake home in Waterloo, AL.
She was an Executive Secretary for 18 years at Leader Federal Bank and Savings.
She was a proud member of Memphis Area Business and Professional Women and served a term as President.
Beth liked to sew, needlepoint and was an excellent crafter. She enjoyed watching and attending sporting events with her husband and loved The University of Memphis Tigers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard. Two daughters Tammy and Kimberly. Two grandchildren Alexander and Meredith Drown. A son-in-law Chris Kolehmainen. Sister Janet Jerrolds and brother Larry Arendall. Her mother-in-law Ethelyne Gurley. And a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends who dearly loved her.
Visitation for Mrs. Gurley will be from 1 to 3 pm Thursday, August 1 at Shackelford Funeral Home in Savannah. Service will be in the chapel at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a donation to First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Tennessee.
