Beth Ann Hoffer

Beth Ann Hoffer, 80, formerly of Manheim, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of the late Clarence J. and Evelyn Wands Stratton. She was the loving wife of the late Roderick W. Frey Sr. who died in 1998 and her second husband the late Clair C. Hoffer who died in 2020. Beth Ann was a school bus driver for over thirty years for the Manheim Central School District. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim, Order of Eastern Star and a lifetime member of Elstonville Sportsman’s Association. Beth Ann enjoyed knitting and she loved to spend time with her family.

Surviving are two sons, Roderick W. Jr. husband of Cindy Frey of Mount Joy, William S. Frey of Lancaster, two daughters, Jody wife of Tim Hess and Jennifer wife of Wade Miller both of Manheim; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Six.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Beth Ann’s Funeral Service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday, December 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private.
