Beth McBride Obituary

Beth McBride, 75, daughter of the late Joseph and Winifred (nee O'Doherty) McBride, and sister Nancy McBride, died of apparent heart failure on May 8, 2024, in Greenwood Village, CO where she lived near  her siblings.

Beth grew up in Lorain, Ohio, and graduated from Saint Mary's High School in 1966.

She received her teaching degree from Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI, and her Masters in Education from the University of Michigan.  Beth began her teaching career in Chicago, IL, and Howell, Michigan.  She then made the transition to educational publishing where she had a long and distinguished career with Ginn & Company, Simon & Schuster, and McGraw Hill, where she was Vice President of Marketing and then President of Educational Professional Development. During her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and her many close friends. 

She is survived by her siblings, Cathy Murphy (Joe) of Lone Tree, CO, Dan McBride (Sharon) of Parker, Co, Missy Sanner (Mark) of Parker, Co, Carol McBride Hamilton (Gil) of Centennial, CO, and Colleen McBride Hanson of Chicago, IL. She was also a loving aunt to Molly and Ellie Hanson, Joe and Taylor Hamilton, and Janet and Emily Sanner.

A funeral mass will take place on June 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at Pax Christi Catholic Church  in Lone Tree, CO. A luncheon will follow the mass at Pax Christi.  Condolences and memories can be sent to Carol Hamilton, 5821 East Geddes Circle,  Centennial, CO 80112. Memorial contributions can be sent to St. Anthony School, Tommy Zaworski Scholarship Fund, 1305 East Erie Avenue, Lorain, OH 44052.
