Beth Holabird Regas

Beth Holabird Regas, age 59, of Guilford, passed away on February 22, 2025 after a long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia. Beth was born in Silver Springs, Maryland on May 20, 1965. Her family moved to Guilford in 1975 when Beth was in fifth grade.
After graduating from Guilford High School in 1983, Beth went to the University of Vermont where she earned a B.A. in English. She studied abroad in France where she was able to use her language skills and to immerse herself in the French culture that she loved so much. After college Beth traveled across the country with her brother and sister. She lived and worked for a couple of years in Santa Cruz and San Francisco before returning to Vermont to pursue a degree in Law. She graduated cum laude from Vermont Law School earning a degree in Environmental Law. She practiced law in Washington D.C., Colorado and Connecticut.
Beth was a strong advocate for the environment and spent much of her time outdoors hiking, gardening and going to the beach. Beth was kind, vivacious and generous. She enjoyed helping others and spent many hours volunteering at High Hopes therapeutic riding program in Old Lyme with her daughter. She was a beautiful person inside and out and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Ava Regas and her son Jackson Regas, her brother, Nolan Holabird (Laurie), her sister, Lisa Finnegan (Tom) and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents William and Carol Richardson.
There will be a celebration of life at 1:00 on March 30 at Nuzzo's Farm in Branford. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her memory may make a donation to the Women and Family Life Center in Guilford. Arrangements are with the Hawley Lincoln Memorial, Guilford.
