Bethanne Patrick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Adams Funeral Home - Woodstown on Dec. 20, 2025.
Bethanne McCarthy Patrick, 55, of Mannington, NJ passed away on December 18, 2025. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Bethanne was the beloved daughter of Ralph McCarthy, Sr. and the late Anne "Nancy" McCarthy.

Bethanne graduated from Pennsville High School and dedicated much of her life to serving her community. She worked for Pennsville Township in the Public Works Department and proudly retired from the Pennsville Ambulance Squad, where she served as an EMT and Paramedic. Her commitment to emergency services extended far beyond her own shifts-Bethanne volunteered with Pennsville Fire & Rescue and shared her vast knowledge by teaching EMT and CPR classes to countless students.

A trained chef with an entrepreneurial spirit, Bethanne was the owner of Pattyscakes Concessions, the EMS Café in Salem, Cornerstone Cafe in Carneys Point and Patrizio's Pizza in Alloway. Through her businesses, she brought people together with good food and a welcoming presence.

Bethanne's dedication to public service also included serving on the Mannington Board of Education and representing her community as an Assemblywoman for New Jersey's 3rd Legislative District. No matter the role, she approached every responsibility with energy, compassion, and an unwavering desire to help others.

She is survived by her loving father, Ralph McCarthy; her three brothers, Ralph Jr. (Joanne), Jim (Lisa), and Tim (Susan); and her cherished nieces and nephews, Patrick, Barbara, Aidan, Natalie, Mason, Foster, Gavin, and Madison. She is also lovingly remembered by several devoted aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched.

Services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM, with services to follow at 3:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bethanne's memory to the Salem County Humane Society, P.O. Box 127, Carneys Point, NJ 08069.
