Betsy Higgins Obituary
An equestrian in her younger years, gardening, needlework, and reading became her great passions. In recent years, she spent many hours online volunteering for the American Iris Society creating and updating entries for their registration database. She was the recipient of AIS Distinguished Service medal in 2018.
She is survived by a daughter, Aurelie A. Taylor and her husband, James A. Carpenter; grandchildren, Brendan, Tenesha (Kadron), Sarah (Todd), Edward, and Chandler; 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of TerraBella in Hendersonville for their care, concern, and companionship as well as the staff of Elizabeth House for their compassion for Mom in the short time she was with them and especially Neva Eller for her years of dedication to Mom.
