Betsy Williams Obituary

Betsy Faulkner Williams

July 18, 2025

Betsy Faulkner Williams, 63, peacefully made her way to heaven on July 18, 2025, during the early morning hours in her Chesterfield home. Betsy is survived by her mother, Frances; her husband, Jeff; her two daughters, Sara (Anthony) and Kylie (Jackson); her granddaughter, Lillian; and brother, Tony (Susan). She is preceded in death by her father, Eddie.

Betsy was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to parents, Frances and Eddie Faulkner. Betsy grew up in a loving home with her mother, father, and brother. Born into an Air Force family, she moved around a lot. Her two favorite states were Alaska and Texas. After her dad retired from the Air Force, they settled in her hometown of Henderson, N.C. She received a Bachelor's of Administration in Accounting from Appalachian State University. She moved to Richmond to take her first job with Heilig-Meyers. She then took a job with the Internal Revenue Service, where she met her husband, Jeff Williams. Jeff and Betsy married in December 1989. She stopped working full time to raise her children, Sara and Kylie, who were born in 1994 and 1998, respectively. She went back to work as a teaching assistant at Chesterfield County School System when the kids were older. Betsy was loved by many for her fun and loving nature. She loved her two children, Sara and Kylie, and would do anything for them. Betsy recently became a "gamma" to her first granddaughter, Lillian. Betsy loved being a grandmother and holding her sweet girl. She was also known for her love of animals, reading books, Sudoku puzzles, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Betsy had strong values and was never afraid to speak her mind. Her passing will leave a void in the hearts of many, but her family will continue to remember her through the jokes she told and the memories they made over a lifetime.

Family will receive friends and family 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A private ceremony for immediate family members will be held to honor Betsy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chesterfield County Animal Shelter in her name.
