Bettie Mae Marsh, 85, passed away on September 12, 2025.

Bettie was born on January 20, 1940, in Okolona, AR. to Mattie Faye and Arthur Jones.

She was a member of Gurdon First United Methodist Church and spent her working years at the Doll House Beauty Salon for over 30 years. While she worked at the salon, she assisted Horne and McKinnon Funeral Home in Gurdon with hair and makeup, and she also won a trip to Hawaii. After her work at the salon, she went on to work for the Gurdon Public School District as a bus driver and custodian for over 20 years.

She spent her spare time crocheting, knitting, putting together puzzles, and spending time with her family. In her retirement, she spent time restoring a two-story home that she inherited from her parents.

She loved her family and her school family deeply and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bettie is preceded in death by two grandchildren Robert Erik Breazeale and Jonathan Chad Breazeale, her parents, two siblings Billie Ray Jones and Jean Brown, and her son-in-law Harlond Wayne Copeland.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bettie Copeland and Dean Marsh and wife Debbie; two grandchildren Jessie Benedict and husband Jakeb and Jennifer Beasley and husband John; six great-grandchildren, Jonathan Jacob Breazeale, Kaiden Caleb Benedict and wife Alexis, Hayden Dallas Benedict, Levi Seth Benedict, Oliver Jack Beasley, and Charlotte Elaine Beasley; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Herndon- Fuqua Funeral Home- Gurdon Chapel with Bro. Hunter Fountain officiating.

Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 6:00- 8:00 P.M.
