I met Mrs. Tombs somewhere between 1997-1998 through a friend and helped with the care of her father. She was the most loving and kind, caring person I met. With her degrees, she treated me with kindness and wanted the best care for her father. As an example, I called her to ask if my son could use her computer because we didnt have one. Her reply was Yes, Mary, I don't mind helping anyone that wants to better themselves. We used her computer multiple times staying after 10pm and she never complained. She has left a great legacy that me, my children, and grandchildren will never forget. Now she is at rest, her job well done. To her family, my prayers and condolences are with you. Love always.

My deepest condolences. Leslie was a colleague of mine at TAMUC. As I had lived in Monticello when I worked at UAM, Leslie and I had a common topic of conversation. She was a thorough professional and I always liked talking with her. I will miss her.
