Betty Lou Agan

Betty Lou Agan, of Webb City, Missouri, ran into the arms of Jesus on May 19, 2025, with her daughter by her side.
Betty Lou Fagg was born on April 8, 1946, to Bob and Anna Francis (Berry) Fagg. From a young girl to a wise woman, Betty was a joyful spirit, always laughing and bringing light to those around her. Her warmth, humor, and love for life were a gift to everyone she met.
On June 7, 1969, Betty married Bobby Andrew Agan. Over 53 years, they shared many "great adventures." On January 5, 1972, they welcomed their beloved daughter, Barbara Ann. On August 13, 1977, their son, Robert Andrew, was born sleeping. Betty was a loving wife, who loved Bob relentlessly until his passing on June 27, 2022.
Betty attended college at Missouri State University and received her Bachelor's in Education. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Betty taught and served the Sarcoxie community for 32 years in various roles from teacher, to coach, to sponsor before retiring in 2007. In those 32 years, she championed her students through National History Day and Science Fair competitions reaching state and national levels. Betty gleefully cheered for her students for their educational, athletic, and personal achievements. Betty came out of retirement for one year and taught at College Heights. To her students, Mrs. Agan hoped more than anything that you know how much she loved each of you. "Are you with me?"
Betty was a fervent and faithful servant of Jesus, and stood in intercession in prayer for thousands. Betty's walk with Christ allowed her to walk through every trial with a joyous smile on her face. Above all else, Betty's life was a testament to Christ, and when asked, "How do you do it?" Her answer was always, "Jesus."
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, her infant son Robert Andrew, and her parents.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Scott) Hettinger of Webb City, MO; three grandchildren, Trey (Jessica) Laveroni of Neosho, MO; Baylee (Colton) Pfitzner of Sarcoxie, MO; and Anna (Mason) Fox of Carl Junction, MO; five great-grandchildren, Hannah White, Creed Laveroni, Millie Laveroni, William Pfitzner, and Jameson Pfitzner; brothers, Gary (Vicki) Fagg of Springfield, MO, and Dick (Barb) Fagg of Sarcoxie, MO; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Funeral services for Betty are 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 23rd, at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home with pastor Andrew White officiating. Burial will follow in the Sarcoxie Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Trey Laveroni, Colton Pfitzner, Mason Fox, Michael Fagg, Chad Fagg, Cade Fagg and Andy White. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Fagg, Dick Fagg, Cole Cummins, Danny Lee, Mike Lawson, and Steve Lewis. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22nd at the funeral home.
