Betty Galloway Ardis

Betty Galloway Ardis, 89, widow of M. Wilbur Ardis, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, at McLeod Health Clarendon.

Born April 7, 1936, in Wedgefield, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Willene Jackson Galloway. She was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Ardis (Cindy) and Stan Ardis (Marijon); grandchildren, Kevin, Courtney, Kaitlin, Bryson, and Hayden; great-grandchildren, Freya and Brynley; a brother, Carl Galloway (Pat); and a sister, Deborah Murray (Mike).

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles T. Galloway; a sister, Dorothy "Dot" Gardenhire; and a niece, Cindy Broome.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday at Crosswell Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Owens and the Rev. Rodney Howard officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bryson Ardis, Hayden Ardis, Ryan Broome, John Gardenhire, Steve Galloway, and Michael Mitchum.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Faithful Followers Sunday School class.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Monday at Crosswell Baptist Church and other times at the home of Mike and Cindy Ardis, 42 Calhoun Dr.
