Betty Ann Brys, born October 5, 1949, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday November 17, 2024 surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Brys; parents: Elsic and Snowdear Byrge; son, Keith Brys; granddaughter, Nicole Ward; sisters: Peggy Sexton and Marylou Worley; and brothers: Ted Byrge and Clifton Byrge.
She is survived by her children: Eddie (Tammy) Brys, Cheryl (Jerry) Lester, and Billy Joe (Chrystal) Brys; special friend, Claude Wilson; grandchildren: Briauna (Nik) Herren, Ashley Brys, Chadd (Shannon) Roysden, Cullen (Tabitha) Roysden, Megan Brys, Carrie Brys, Luke Brys, and Michelle (Adam) Layne; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday November 18 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the funeral to follow at 7:00. with Bro. Keith Massengale officiating. The graveside service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church Cemetery in the Stevens community.
