Betty June Witherspoon Conditt, of Bartlesville, was born March 21, 1933, in Durant, Oklahoma, to parents, Floyd Haines Witherspoon and Gretchen Mercedes Branum Witherspoon. She grew up in Southeast Oklahoma along with her 4 sisters. She passed from this life into her eternal life with Jesus on November 10, 2025. She was 92 years old. Betty completed her LPN training in Bartlesville in September 1967 and spent many years caring for others in her time as a nurse at Memorial Hospital and Medical Lodge in Bartlesville.
Lifelong friendship with the Conditt family led to her marrying James Junior Conditt on March 18, 1948. They made their home in the Durant area where their son, James "Larry" Conditt and daughter Betty "Sue" Conditt Rogers were born. The family then moved to Tulsa where their third child, Bobby "Duane" Conditt was born, before moving to Bartlesville where they continued to raise their family and live the remainder of their lives. Betty's love for her family was surpassed only by her love for Jesus. Her greatest times were spent when the family would gather, with Christmas Eve and Easter being two of her favorites. She loved to feed her crew and was a fantastic cook, with her fried chicken being at the top of the list for many. You could guarantee three menu items on the Christmas Eve potluck table: Punch, homemade Christmas candy and Cream Cheese Pinwheels.
Betty loved fishing, and she and James spent many years on the water reeling in the crappie. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was overjoyed when they won the World Series in 2016. Other hobbies included playing piano and organ, epic family domino games, with some Rummy, Scrabble and Yahtzee thrown in the mix. She was very creative and crafty, making clothes, quilts, and many crocheted items. Betty and James were also very active in the church, where she taught Sunday school, and participated in women's ministry groups.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Sue Rogers; grandchildren, Shelley Wilson and husband Joey, Steven Conditt, Stephanie Featherston and husband Joshua, Heather Conditt, Mike Conditt and fiancé Randie Gentry, James Conditt and wife Tiffany, Katy House and husband Chris, Nick Dancer and wife Karrie, and Johnathan Dancer and wife Leah. She was also blessed with oodles of great and great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James, two sons; Larry and Duane and her four sisters; Aline Binkley, Johnnie Yates, Judy McWilliams and Mary Ann Senn.
