Betty Jane Davis, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, at the age of 79. She was called home to God two days after her mother, 25 years later.
Betty was born on March 20, 1946, in Caney, Kansas to Dee Ross and Martha Sarah Vernon Ross. She married her lifelong partner Jimmy Noble Davis on January 13, 1962 in Miami, Oklahoma. They spent most of their life on their farm in Rural Jefferson and had three children together. Betty spent her life working in assembly manufacturing. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking and baking. She was also an avid lover of the Christmas cactus. She was known for her bold personality and always standing firm in her beliefs, a trait she passed on to every generation beneath her.
She is survived by her sisters Shirley Davis of Caney, Kansas, Deanna Looney of Dodge City, Kansas, Flossie Melton of Caney, Kansas, son Stephen Davis of Rural Jefferson, Kansas, daughter Jeanette Davis of Andrews, Texas, 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Brandi, Sara, Jayde, and Kross, 13 great grandchildren, Caleb, Camdon, Chloe, Eva, Max, Sophia, Brady, Nathan, Evangeline, Jordy, Ella, Drew, Salem and 1 great great grandchild, Lily. Lastly, her beloved poodle Roscoe Davis.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy N Davis, her daughter Michelle L Davis, her parents Dee Francis and Martha Ross, her sisters Virginia Lee Ross and Beverly Hartwig, and her beloved schnauzer Wally Davis.
She patiently waited for the day she would be reunited with her daughter Michelle in heaven.
