Betty Lou Dickerson peacefully gained her wings and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on October 24, 2024, at the age of 94. She was preceded in passing by her loving husband, Verlin R. Dickerson, her son, Lester W. Dickerson Sr., and daughter-in-law, Sylvie A. Dickerson.
She volunteered tirelessly with Shriners, supporting doctors in the care of children with disabilities. She was an esteemed member of the Daughters of the Nile, where she was honored and crowned as Queen of the Nile for her exceptional dedication. Betty had a special love for animals, known to greet every creature she met with her endearing words, “Bless their little hearts”. She was the Kansas City Chiefs #1 fan, never missing a game, cheering on her team with an unwavering spirit.
Her laughter and stubborn personality will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A heartfelt thanks go out to her dedicated caregivers and friends, Jessica and Elsa, “Team Dickerson Forever.”
She leaves behind her daughter Laura Dickerson-Price, her son Verlin R. Dickerson Jr. (Sylvie), daughter-in-law Carol Dickerson (Lester), granddaughter Amanda Dickerson, grandson Verlin R. Dickerson III, and great-grandchildren, Damien, Maxwell, and Carter. Her family of loved ones extends to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews, as well as her sweet fur babies, Boo, Buddy, Sammy, and Princess, who will miss her gentle care.
With love, we say farewell, Momma, until we see you on the other side.
