Betty Miller Foster's vibrant spirit graced this world on July 4, 1935, bringing joy and love to all who knew her. On March 4, 2024, we said a tearful goodbye to a remarkable woman whose presence will be deeply missed.
Betty led a life filled with simple pleasures and profound connections. Her love for the ocean and the serenity of lakes reflected her deep appreciation for nature's beauty. She was the Vice President of Stayton Bank for many years while raising three wonderful children. After her retirement, Betty began traveling alongside her husband, which brought sheer delight as they explored the world together, creating cherished memories that will live on forever with their family.
An avid sports enthusiast, Betty's eyes would light up at the mention of basketball games. Her cheers could be heard echoing through stands as she passionately supported her grandkids in their sporting endeavors. She not only watched their games but also served as their biggest cheerleader, instilling in them a sense of unwavering support.
Betty became the go-to unofficial tour guide in Washington D.C., delighting friends and family with her quirky anecdotes and historical tidbits. Her love for storytelling shone through as she shared her knowledge with enthusiasm and wit.
Growing up on a dairy farm instilled in Betty a love for the outdoors. She found solace in riding the tractor and tending to the land. During Christmas time, Betty's family cherished memories of her baking cookies and candies, filling their homes with warmth and sweetness.
Betty Miller Foster leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. While our hearts may ache at her absence, let us find solace in the beautiful memories she gifted us during her time on this earth. She is now back in the arms of her loving husband of 70 years.
