Betty Fure Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jun. 26, 2024.
Betty Louise Fure, 84, passed away peacefully June 25, 2024. She was born to Thomas and Eva Wildman on July 9, 1939. Her father passed away when they were heading to Washington when she was 4 years old. They came back to Burtrum where she stayed until she was 15 years old. They moved to the Twin Cities and she graduated from Central High School in 1957. After graduation she started working for Minnesota Grain Exchange where she met Rodney, started dating, and were married May 18, 1963. They lived in Keister, Albert Lea and finally moved to the Twin Cities where they have stayed for the last 58 years. She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior in July of 1976 and joined Woodcrest Baptist Church in August of that same year and has been a faithful member since that time. They have two children; Melissa and Matthew. They have two grandkids. Jack Fure was born in 2007 and Ava Fure was born in 2010.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother Thomas and Eva (Hosford) Wildman; brothers Richard Wildman and Keith Wildman; sisters Pat Kuhlman and Helen Yarbrough. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Rodney; children Melissa and Matthew; grandkids Jack and Ava; and brother John Wildman.
Her beautiful smile and disposition will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In life she loved to cook, garden, read, volunteer, spend time/talk/laugh with her family and friends, clean, do puzzles (the bigger the better!), and crochet. But above all she loved her family and loved to spend time with her beloved husband, her children and her grandkids. We will miss her with all of our hearts. But we are not mourning as those without hope. We are confident that because of her faith in Christ as her Savior she is in Heaven and we will see her again.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 "...and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
