Betty Ann Gary, 91, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the Versailles Rehab and Healthcare Center. She was born August 15, 1934 in Piqua to the late Ralph C. and Edna L. (Bell) Hahn. She married the love of her life, Adrian D. "Buck" Gary November 10, 1956 in Piqua; they enjoyed 37 beautiful years of marriage together before Buck's passing March 13, 1993.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda (Bill) Carter of Piqua; her daughter-in-law, Julie (Bob) Jordan; five grandchildren, Jason (Jess) Carter, Erin (RJ) Monnier, Megan (Andy) Pearson, Courtney (Joe) Monnier, Abby (Chrissy) Gary; nine great grandchildren whom she adored spending time with, Zach and Logan Carter, Sophie and William Monnier, Maggie, Vivian, and Allie Pearson, Lucas Monnier, and Tasha (Derrick) Gullett; one great great grandson, Link Gullett; two sisters-in-law, Walda Gary, and Jeannie Hahn; as well as many of her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Robert "Bob" Gary with whom she now shares eternal rest; and two brothers, Ralph Hahn and Craig Hahn.

Mrs. Gary was a 1952 graduate of Piqua Central High School and a 1955 graduate of Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati. Following her graduation, Betty enjoyed a long career in nursing before her retirement. Her career highlight was working in the Dettmer Hospital nursery caring for newborns. She would light up sharing her many stories and her passion for nursing. She was an active and longstanding member of Greene Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling the country and the world throughout her life. She also enjoyed camping with her family. She was always up for a card game or board game. She enjoyed bowling and would boast of her league win. She was a wonderful cook and baker, filling the dining room table each holiday season with cookies and candies. Most of all, she loved sharing these activities with her family and friends and she cherished the time she was able to spend with them. She was a kind, loving and thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed.

A service to honor her life will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Will Leasure officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greene Street Food Pantry, c/o Greene Street United Methodist Church, 415 W. Greene St. Piqua, OH 45356; or to one's favorite charity in Betty's memory. Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy, to be provided to the family, may be expressed through jamiesonandyannucci.com
