Betty was born August 25, 1931 in Winchester, the daughter of the late Newton Turner Wine and Bessie Orndoff Wine. She was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Prior to retirement, Betty worked at Russell's Apple Plant, was a past School Bus Driver, and was a Cosmetologist for over 40 years.
She is survived by her son, Stanley Greathouse; grandchildren, Charles Greathouse, Chad Greathouse, Patrick Greathouse, William Greathouse; great grandchildren, William Decklan, Lantz Greathouse, Aiden Greathouse, Katie Greathouse, Emma Greathouse, Aften Greathouse; great-great grandchildren, Thea Lyday, Harley Greathouse, Poppy Greathouse; brothers, Charles Wine and Philip Wine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stanley Greathouse; son, Gary Greathouse; grandsons, Casey Greathouse, Christopher Greathouse; and brothers Melvin Wine and Paul Wine.
A graveside service will take place Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Frederick County, VA. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
