Betty Leah Highberger

Betty Leah Highberger, 81, of Leesburg, FL died Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at AdventHealth Waterman Hospital. She was born June 30th, 1944, in Latrobe, PA., a daughter of the late Merle and Sarah Weimer. She grew up in Ligonier as a Pastor's daughter with her siblings, John, Tom, and Nancy. She was married to Dean Highberger and moved from Pennsylvania to Florida and later retired as the owners of Integrity Bulk Mail Service.

Her life will be cherished by her children. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Rhoads of Ligonier PA.; daughter, Arlene Hostetler and husband, David of Irwin, PA; and son, Brian Highberger and wife, Jenni of Leesburg, FL.; four granddaughters; Rachel, Lindsey, Danielle, and Niki; three great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Dean and her son in law Steve Rhoads whose memories we hold in our hearts with love.

She will always be cherished for her warm spirit, generosity, exceptional cake-baking talents, passion for games, puzzles, and crafts, adventurous nature, and unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ. Her grandchildren lovingly called her G-ma, while her great-grandchildren referred to her as Nana.

Friends will be received Friday, November 28th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the MCCABE FUNERAL HOME, 144 Main St., Ligonier, PA 15658 and again starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 29th, with the service following at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Bunney officiating. Interment will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

There will be an additional memorial service at Life Church in Fruitland Park, FL for her friends and family in Florida. Date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any memorial donations go to missions, which was very close to Betty's heart. Donations can be made to Life Church in Fruitland Park, FL.
