Betty Leah Highberger, 81, of Leesburg, FL, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, at AdventHealth Waterman Hospital. She was born June 30, 1944, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Merle and Sarah Roadman Weimer. She grew up in Ligonier as a pastor's daughter with her siblings, John, Tom, and Nancy. She was married to Dean Highberger and was married for 60 years before his passing. They moved from Pennsylvania to Florida and later retired as the owners of Integrity Bulk Mail Service in Florida. Her life will be cherished by her children: daughter, Denise Rhoads of Ligonier; daughter, Arlene Hostetler, and husband, David, of Irwin; and son, Brian Highberger, and wife, Jenni, of Leesburg, FL; four granddaughters, Rachel, Lindsey, Danielle, and Niki; three great-granddaughters; and two great-grandsons. She will forever be remembered for her kind spirit, generosity, cake-making skills, love of games, puzzles, and crafts, adventurous spirit, and devotion to Jesus Christ. She was affectionately referred to as "G-ma" by her grandchildren and "Nana" by her great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, at MCCABE FUNERAL HOME, 144 East Main St., Ligonier, and again starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, with the service following at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Bunney officiating.
