Betty Hudson Obituary
She was born on May 12, 1964, in Huntington, WV, to the late Grethel Marcum Harris and Henry Lee Marcum. She was formerly employed at Clarks and at the Madisonville Country Club Golf Pro Shop. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and creating diamond art. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Betty was a member at Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Juniper Ruby Gregory.
Her survivors include her daughter, Sandra (John) Betts of Madisonville; brother, Henry (Jeanne) Marcum of Manitou, KY; sisters, Linda Young of Nebo, KY, Lisa (Anthony) Allen of Richland, KY, Hazel Duval (Debbie Vandiver) of Madisonville, Tammy Hawkins of Madisonville, KY, and Vanessa (David) Fields of South Carolina; grandchildren, Blake Duncan and J.D. Betts, both of Madisonville; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Rita Cobb of Madisonville.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Evans officiating. Burial to follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson, KY.
Visitation will be held at 12 p.m. until the funeral hour on Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Blake Duncan, J.D. Betts, Mark Allen, Terry Young, K.T. Wright, and Henry Marcum.
