Betty Jean Larimore, age 76, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023.
Betty was born on June 28, 1947 in Hardinsburg, KY to the late Marion Dunn and Anna Lee Craig. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her former husbands, Albert Armes, Garland Benham, Jr., and Charles Larimore; son, Virgil M. Armes; brothers, Joseph Frank, Jr. and Daniel Frank; sisters, Bertha Poole, Hilda May Robbins, Margaret Basham, Anna Murel Kennedy, Mary Hester Bennett, and Ruby Countrey.
Betty was an Eastern Star in Brandenburg, KY, member of Bethel Methodist Church in Weldon, KY. Betty owed Pops Café and Dairy Cup in Irvington, KY. She spent the last eight years in Hopkinsville, KY with family. Betty was born and spent her whole life in Kentucky.
She is survived by her daughters, CarolSue (Richard) Daigre of Hopkinsville, KY and Loretta Boykin of Jacksonville, NC; sons, Garland (Tray) Benham III of Brandenburg, KY and Albert Armes of Hardinsburg, KY; brother, Robert (Marie) Critchelow of Gordo, IL; sister, Marion (Bang) Oelze (Joe) of Hardinsburg, KY; grandkids, Tony Robinson Jr. of Irvington, Bridgette (Zachery) Roberson of Flaherty, Veronica (Mike) Jones of Brandenburg, Shandra Rolff of Brandenburg, Christa (Billy) Clift of Brandenburg, Beth (AJ) Wright of Hardinsburg, Virgil Armes Jr. of Leitchfield, William Armes of Leitchfield, Norma Jean Armes of Leitchfield, Lois Armes of Hardingsburg, Jennifer (Tim) Briseno of Jacksonville, NC, Andrew (Andrea) Stull of Jacksonville, NC, Taylor Boykin of Jacksonville, NC, Madison (Dylan) Harper of Brandenburg, Logan Benham of Brandenburg, and Cooper Benham of Brandenburg, eighteen great-grandkids and two great-great grandkids.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 12:00-1:30 P.M. EDT at Bruington- Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM EDT at Bethel Methodist Church (190 Bethel Church Rd, Brandenburg, KY 40108) with Rev. Gary Benham Officiating with Burial to follow in Bethel Methodist Cemetery.
