Betty Ann Lewis

Betty Ann Lewis, 88, of Pekin, Indiana passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 7:49 AM in her home with her family members. Ms. Betty was born December 29, 1936 in Jackson Co, IN, the daughter of the late Lewis and Lucille (Swope) Pasley. She was a member of the Church of God in Austin and attended the Free Gospel Fellowship in Pekin. She retired from the U.S. Shoe Company, Crothersville, IN after 34 years and Morgan Packing Company, Austin, IN after 12 years. Ms. Betty was a true Christian. She loved the Lord and always put him first. Her guide was her bible. She enjoyed her life, her family watching the birds feeding and talking with freinds and neighbors. Her companion was her toy Chihuahua Mitzie that was her joy. She took her everywhere she would go. Mitzie loved her granny. Ms. Betty is survived by 3 daughters:Martha and Dennis of Seymour, Wilma Lewis-Peters of Pekin, Indiana; Sherry (Michael) Phillips of Seymour, Indiana; and son: Robert (Rhonda) Lewis of Seymour, Indiana and 1 Sister: Mary Joyce Sabens of Salem, Indiana. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Ms. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse Leonard Lewis and a wonderful companion Donnie Goodin, 2 sisters Wahnita Donnell and Joretta Anderson, a brother Hugh Pasley, grandchild Ricky Lewis and a great-granddaughter Chasitity Kendall. The Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana. Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Friday and after 9 am Saturday at Buchanan Funeral Home. Burial will be at Crothersville Cemetery, Crothersville, Indiana.
