Betty A. Luick, Age 98, of Coon Rapids, Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025.
Betty was a wonderful and giving woman. She put others before herself. She was a devoted catholic, a eucharistic minister, making church banners and other seamstress duties for the church. She was active in her North Minneapolis community, including the Jordan Area Community Council, where she held many positions, including President. She also helped in the building of the North Regional Library. She was active with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, PTA, Stars and Blanketeers.
Betty also believed that you need to take care of yourself along with others. She was a member of the YMCA for over 60+ years. She was still swimming twice a week into her early nineties.
She loved sewing, making most of her own clothing, along with her children. Along with other handcrafts, including knitting, crochet, needlepoint and upholstery.
She was preceded in death by Homer, her husband of 55 years. She is survived by her children, William, Charles, Arden and Barbara (John) Williamson; Grandchildren, Melissa (Chris) Knettel, Derek (Katie) Williamson, Great-Grandchildren, Hunter Knettel, Emilia Knettel, Noah Williamson and Saul Williamson.
