Betty Jo Morris, 85, of Weatherford, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021. She was born October 5, 1935, in Weatherford, Texas, James Calvin and Emma Jane Queen Roden.
Betty was a caregiver for the elderly and retired from the hospital in Weatherford as a CNA. She also worked in the cafeteria at Peaster ISD, where she will be remembered for her delicious cooking, especially her pies. Betty enjoyed cooking and loved to dance but, most of all she loved the time she spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Frankie Morris; son, George Frankie Morris, Jr; daughter, Donna Sue Morris Terry; grandsons, Jordan McGee and Aaron Terry; great granddaughter, Mackenzie Bishop; as well as her siblings, Lonnie Roden, Ed Roden, Wesley Roden, John Roden, Jessie Mae Cain, Mattie Belle Stults, and Mary Helen Beauchamp.
Betty is survived by her daughters, JoAnne Hull, Debra Jean Bouyer (Steve), Amy Ferguson (Greg), and LaVerne Decker; sister, Bonnie Ruth Matthews; brother, James Calvin Roden (Ann); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2021, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Funeral ceremony: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2021. also at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery.
