Betty Doris Norris

Betty Doris Norris, 88, originally of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at TN State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, TN. Betty was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church in Burnsville, MS, and after 23 years of employment, she retired from her job at Sears and Roebuck in Memphis. Betty was an amazing Southern cook. She measured with her heart, and everyone always raved about how great her home style meals were. She had a super funny and spunky personality and was the most generous person you could ever meet. Betty is survived by her children, Myra Norris Simons (Rick), Steve Norris, and Wayne Norris; her grandchildren, Garrett and Grayson Simons; and a host of other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Norris; her parents, Artie and Patrick Cummings; her brothers, Paul, Mack, and Jack Cummings; and her sisters, Reba Thornton, Margie O'Neil, and Milbra Cummings. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Visitation will continue on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Mark Jones.
