Betty Reeves, passed away on October 5, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. Born on May 17, 1946 in Gilmer, Texas to Winston Wray and Mary (Steelman) Still.
Betty began her career at First National Bank, where she served faithfully for 12 years upon leaving the bank she worked for Harmony ISD where she retired as business manager after 23 years. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church for many years.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Douglas Reeves; daughter, Kristie Hutto; sister, Jimmie Lee Spencer, Glynda Duke and husband Kenneth; grandchild, Shelby Laastad and husband Danny; great grandchildren, Trigger Dean and River Ray Laastad.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Michael Dean Reeves.
A visitation will take place on October 8, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, followed by a funeral service on October 9, 2024, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Aaron Dudley and Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Interment to follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Gilmer.
