Betty Lou Scheid, age 92, of Miles City passed away peacefully at her home joining her beloved husband Fred on September 2, 2025.

Betty was born on the family homestead in Sims, ND on April 21, 1933 the daughter of James and Alice (Hanson) Jacobson. Betty grew up and attended school in Sims until the 8th grade when the family moved to Miles City and she began attending school at Custer County High School.

Shortly after school Betty met the love of her life Fred Scheid Sr. and shortly after they got married on April 21, 1951. Together they raised four children, Linda, Sandy, Fred Jr. and Marty. Betty worked hard as a homemaker to make sure her children were always taken care of and loved. One of Betty's greatest joys was when she became a grandmother and great grandmother, she cherished her grandchildren and loved attending all their activities to cheer them all on.

She is survived by her four children, Linda (Mike) Mackrell, Sandy Kinsey, Fred Jr. (Stacy) Scheid and Marty (Teresa) Scheid; three sisters and one brother; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Sr. and two brothers and one sister.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Son's Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will be held at the Custer County Cemetery. Should friends desire memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church of Miles City. Condolences can be left to the family by visiting stevensonandsons.com.
