Betty Stettler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by G.H. Herrmann Funeral Homes - Greenwood on Mar. 9, 2026.
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Sue (Brown) Stettler, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Susie was preceded in death by her daughter Joann, her mother Ada "Granny" Brown, her father Hubert "Poppy" Brown, and her husband Paul Norman Stettler I.

She is survived by her children: Anita Gumm and husband Greg, Tammy Nickels and her late husband Tom, Bruce Stettler and wife Kimberly, and Paul Norman Stettler II and wife Donna.

Susie leaves behind a cherished legacy through her grandchildren: Paul Norman Stettler III, Greg Allen Gumm, Michelle Boone, Brandon Nickels, Cole Stettler, Kaelyn Stettler, and Carl Coe. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Anthony Coe, Dillon Brown and June Stettler.

Susie lived a life full of joy, humor, and simple pleasures. She especially loved spending time at the casino playing her favorite Sun and Moon slot machine. She treasured evenings spent with family playing cards and games, working on puzzles, and enjoying dinners at Texas Roadhouse-one of her favorite spots.

She worked hard throughout her life, holding positions at Link-Belt and Long's Bakery before retiring from Conagra. Susie's dedication, strength, and warmth left an impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her legacy of love, and resilience will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

May she rest in peace.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, March 13, 2026. Susie will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
