Betty Tonche Obituary
Betty was born in Des Moines on January 11, 1961 to David Martin and Betty (Brown) Martin. She was a lifelong resident of Des Moines, graduating from East High School and later attending Drake Univeristy. Betty worked for over 20 years as a mail services distribution manager with Continental Western Insurance and was very proud of the work she did. When not working, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was watching her grandsons play baseball and playing board games and cribbage with her family and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Ronnie, Donnie, and Dave Martin.
Those left to cherish Betty's memory are her daughter, Maria (Cory) Stiles; her grandsons, Kristian, Ian, Brodie, Chase, and Tate; her sisters, Pegi Peterson, Ruthie (Bill) Hopkins, and Jeanie (Bob) McDowell, and her former husband, Lupe Tonche, as well as many other family members and friends.
A visitation for Betty will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Urbandale, IA. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family for a future designation. Online condolences can be made at caldwellparrish.com.
