Betty Lee Waggoner, 85, of Marietta, Ohio, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 28, 2025. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, on September 24, 1940 to Edwin and Ida Wagner Pabst.
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Doyle Waggoner; her parents; her granddaughter, Megan Waggoner; her great-granddaughter, Tidja Sealey; and her half-siblings, Shirly, Mary, Arthur, and Fred Pabst.
She is survived by her devoted children: , son Edwin Waggoner (Tanya), daughter Cheryl Montgomery, daughter Balinda Harris and son Cory Waggoner (Dody). Betty was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Trisha Moore (Ray), Renee Miller (Todd), Jason Harris (Stephany), Erin McDaniel (Dante), and Ashleigh Heslop (Chad). Her legacy continues through her 11 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. Betty is also survived by her half-siblings, Rose Conley and Ed Pabst, as well as many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.
Throughout her career, Betty worked as a Machine Operator and Inspector at RJF / BF Goodrich, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Beyond her professional life, she was an active member of her community, serving as the former treasurer at Fairview Heights Chapel. Betty had a passion for spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Abiding with her wishes, she will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later time. The family is being served by Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, which offers online condolences and additional resources at www.CawleyandPeoples.com or through their Facebook page.
Betty's family invites all who knew her to celebrate her life and cherish the memories she leaves behind. Her warmth, love, and laughter will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
