Betty Lou White, 73, of St. Joseph passed away in her home on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph.
Betty was born on July 7, 1952 in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to the late Clifton and Edna (Alexander) Booten. On Aug. 2, 1969, in Benton Heights she married Delmar Owen White. Her life centered around her loving family and she will be greatly missed.
Betty is survived by her husband Delmar; her two sons: Delmar (Heather Christopher) White Jr., of St. Joseph and Chad (Neeley) White of Stevensville; her adored grandchildren: Katelyn, Jordan, Justin and A.J. and niece, Donna Welche.
She is preceded in death by her two sisters: Brenda Welche and Ellen LaRatta.
A celebration of life service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel in St. Joseph, with Pastor Marlo Fritzke officiating. Betty's final resting place will be in Spring Run Cemetery in Scottdale. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the funeral home. I worked with Betty back in the mid 70's at Univex. She was a very nice lady to work with. My sincerest sympathy goes out to the family. Rest in God's embrace.
