Betty was born November 28, 1955 Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Rudy Willoughby and the late Fannie Bass Willoughby. She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lee Smith.
Betty is survived by her children, Sherry and Tim Britt of Temple, Teresa and Timmy Mayfield of Villa Rica, Roxie and Keith Patterson of Tennessee, Beth Hoffer of Powell, TN, siblings, Bobby Jerkins of California, Leonard Jerkins of Atlanta, grandchildren, Justin Mayfield, Kasey Mayfield, Ashley Bartlett, Shelby Inskeep, Summerville Hoffer, Rebecca Gregory, Lea Bailey, Brittany Sweat, Bradley Patterson, Kayla Patterson, and great grandchildren, Payton Mayfield, Waylon Mayfield, Kadence Mayfield, Kinsley Mayfield, Walker Bartlett, Bailey Bartlett, Parker Bartlett, Carter Gregory, Charlotte Gregory, Lexi Patterson, Wyatt Bailey, Neyland Sweat and Henley Sweat.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM at the J. Collins Funeral Home.
Graveside Service will be conducted Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 1:30 PM from Sunrise Gardens of Memories. Timmy Mayfield, Justin Mayfield, Tim Britt, Beth Hoffer, Kasey Mayfield, Laura Oxendine will be serving as pallbearers.
