It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Sue Wright, 84, who left us peacefully on February 10, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Winnsboro, Texas. Born on July 27, 1941, Betty was a cherished member of her community and a devoted matriarch of her family.
Betty was married to her late husband, Kenneth, for an incredible 50 years. Together, they shared a love that was marked by adventure and joy, including their shared passion for riding motorcycles in their youth. Betty's adventurous spirit was matched only by her unwavering devotion to her family.
Throughout her life, Betty was a caretaker at heart, consistently prioritizing her family's needs above her own. She tirelessly sacrificed to ensure that her children-Quinton Wright, Robin Roseberry, Jimmy Roseberry, and Jeffery Wright-had the life they deserved. In addition to her children, she leaves behind a welcoming legacy for her daughter-in-laws, Susan Roseberry and Carmen Wright, her siblings-Barbara Coker, Lita Smith, Sharon Ruth, Bobby Caviness, Jerry Caviness, and Donald Caviness-along with 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Betty's life will be celebrated at Clearwater Baptist Church on February 17, 2026. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, where we will gather to share our love and memories. Following the funeral service, we will lay her to rest at Bethel Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
In this time of loss, let us remember Betty as a beacon of love and resilience. She touched many lives and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.
Betty was preceded in death by: Loyd Caviness, Pearl Caviness, Kenneth Wright, Larinda Wright, David Wright, Valery Roseberry, Norman Caviness, Tommy Caviness, Ronald Caviness
