O B I T U A R Y
Betty Lou Brown Young of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Rupert Brown and Elizabeth Harper Brown, was born on Thursday, November 26, 1942 in Metcalfe County and departed this life on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Green River Trails Nursing Home in Greensburg. She was 82 years, 8 months, and 18 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Little Barren Separate Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Len Ray Young on January 30, 1965, who preceded her in death on April 15, 2009.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Ricky and Sharla Young of Green County; three grandchildren: Kayden Young, Josie Young and her fiance' Aylette Cowherd, and Bridger Young, all of Green County; three brothers: Bobby Brown, Orvill Brown, and William Henry Brown, all of Barren County; a sister-in-law: Ann Thompson of Green County; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Patricia Young; two brothers and two sisters: Rex Brown, Stanley Brown, Emily Sue Miller, and Frances Tarry; a special brother-in-law: Grady Thompson.

The funeral service for Betty Lou Brown Young will be conducted at 3 P.M., Central Time, Friday, August 15, 2025 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Little Barren Cemetery. Bro. Meryl Young officiating.
Visitation is requested after 9 A.M., Central Time, Friday at the funeral home until time of the service.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Little Barren Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
