Beulah Mavis Abbott left this walk of life on January 27, 2026. She was presently residing at Life Care Nursing Home in Bruceton. Mrs. Abbott was born on January 24, 1929, to the late Martin & Susie Umstead. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bro. J.D. Abbott; a brother, Willie Umstead; sisters, Mary Peach, Fannie Spence, Louise Umstead, Emmer Bain, Kate Kee, and Addie Moore; grandchild, Karla Abbott; and great grandchild, LaKeisha Abbott.

Her boys, John, Joe, and James had consistently taken care of her for the past few years. Beulah loved church and supported her husband, the late Bro. J.D. Abbott in pastoring several Baptist churches including, Mt. Comfort Missionary Baptist Church, Central Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and Bible Truth Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She also loved gardening, canning, and fishing with the boys. She enjoyed having large dinners and spending time with her family.

James (Lucie) Abbott of Bell Buckle, TN

Brother: Waymon (Nita) Umstead

Grandchildren: Johnny (Lacye) Abbott, Chris (Jennifer) Abbott, Cindy Cox, Brian Abbott, Zach (Chelsea) Seibers, Matthew (Kayla) Seibers, Grace (Trey) Campbell

Great Grandchildren: Justin Abbott, Kye Meadows, Kendall Middleton, Koby Wortham, Aubrey Abbott, Jaxon Abbott, Hayley Runyon, Tristen Cox, Jadyn Abbott, Levi Abbott, Madelyn Seibers, Maddox Seibers, Zaiden Seibers, Xander Seibers

Nine Great Great Grandchildren

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 PM and continue Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9:00-11:00 AM at Oakdale Funeral Home in Camden, TN.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11 AM at Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Maness and Bro. Marty Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Bible Truth Cemetery.
