Boo Droege

Our ninety pounds of grit, our tiny little beast, Beulah "Boo" Kathryn Droege, has gone to a peaceful rest. She died on August 25, 2025 and what we wouldn't give for one more game of Yahtze with her. Born January 29th, 1925 to llie and William Zeigler, she is preceded in death by her husband Art Droege; her brother, Garry Zeigler and his wife, Marg; and beloved daughter and son-n-law, Donna and Doug Hall.

A purveyor of Snoopy paraphernalia, she was a fierce girl Mom who had nothing but love and pride for her family... and the Wildcats. Boo was an impeccable dresser, strong, self-sufficient and crafty - she would decoupage anything that wasn't moving, loved to decorate, and played the organ. Her love for animals was legendary (minus cats) - but couldn't match her love for the many people who remember her from her long work life! Boo tried to retire in her seventies but returned by popular demand and worked until age 82.

She was a fabulous grandmother and great grandmother. Active, funny and dear, she kept her grandkids on their toes with ball games in the yard, Yahtze, Scrabble, Quirkle, and crossword puzzles. Boo loved snuggling the greats, reading and drawing with them. She was a meticulous gardener, a rabid cleaner, had the softest skin and used nothing but Jergens, and used only sweet & low in her coffee. And the LOVE - she remembered everyone's birthdays, their firsts, their weddings and anniversaries; we remember her fear that she hadn't loved everyone deeply enough, family and friends alike.

Those who remain to cherish her memory, her daughters and their families: Deb Schoulties (Dan), Dee Holly (Will Palmer); grandchildren, Ashley Schoulties Dietsch (Ben), Kate, Emma, Henry; Art Schoulties; Justin Hall (Marla), Sean; Linsay Holly (Sean Kois), Ilie; Mack Holly (Amy), Harper, Reese, Caelin. Many nieces and nephews and loads of family friends will miss her sharp humor and gamesmanship.

Our thanks to Brookdale Centennial Assisted Living and Hospice of Dayton for their care of our Mom. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH, 45420. We will celebrate our Mom, GG, GG Boo, MeMaw, Geeg, Grandma, Mimi, Boo at a gathering for family and friends on September 27th from 1:00 - 3:00pm, Granite Spring Clubhouse, 655 Silver Ledge Drive, Cold Spring, KY 41076
