He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Angie Saunders Johnston, son, Jason Johnston of Hazard, KY and step-son Miles Wheeler of Alexandria, KY; sister Amy (Tim) Hardy.
Mark retired from the Cincinnati VA Medical Center and is a 1974 graduate of Silver Grove High school.
Everyone that knew Mark knew he had a love for cars and was always in his garage working. He spent several years going to car shows showing off his pride and joy 1979 Z28 Camaro. He will truly be missed by those that knew and loved him. A celebration of life for Mark is being scheduled.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the medical staff and nurses at St. Elizabeth Ft Thomas, 3 South. The nurses that took care of Mark are our angels on earth. Also the staff at Hospice Edgewood St. Elizabeth. We could not have asked for better care for Mark. We could never thank you all enough.
