Beverly Gayle Baker, a vibrant and free-spirited soul, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 70. Born on October 9, 1955, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Beverly brought color, warmth, and joy into every room she entered from the very beginning of her life.

Beverly was the beloved daughter of Patsy Follis and the late Dempsey Follis. She was preceded in death by her father, her brothers Jim Follis and Jeff Follis, and her husband, Powell Comer.

Those who knew Beverly knew her as a woman with a bright smile and an even brighter spirit. She never met a stranger—only friends she hadn’t spoken to yet. Loving, caring, fun, and endlessly generous, Beverly had a way of making people feel welcome and valued. Her laughter was contagious, her kindness genuine, and her presence unforgettable.

Christmas was Beverly’s favorite season, and she celebrated it with unmatched enthusiasm—decorating her home from top to bottom in festive splendor. Her love of color extended beyond the holidays, reflected in the vibrant clothes she wore and the joyful way she lived her life. A true free spirit, Beverly embraced each day with happiness and heart.

An incredible cook and baker, Beverly expressed her love through food, filling kitchens and hearts alike. She enjoyed shopping adventures, attending concerts, and going places simply for the joy of being out in the world she loved so much.

Above all else, Beverly’s greatest pride and joy were her family. Her daughter, Miranda (JR) Phelps, and her granddaughter, Brooke Hanson, were her entire world. Her love for them knew no bounds, and everything she did was touched by her devotion to them. She is also survived by Barry Baker, who lovingly served as her caretaker during the last few years of her life and was an important and cherished part of the family.

Beverly attended college and later retired, but her life’s true work was spreading joy, love, and light to those around her. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, the friendships she formed, and the memories she created.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
