Beverly Ann Bersie

Beverly Ann Bersie, age 90, passed away on December 22, 2025, at the Annandale Care Center. She was born on September 9, 1935, in Montrose to Roy and Esther Wandersee Tessmer and was raised on a farm in Delano. Beverly attended Delano School, where she was active in band and choir. She especially enjoyed singing and playing the organ. Following her graduation, she was employed as an office clerk at Buffalo Production Credit Assn. for four years. On February 23, 1957, Beverly was married to Ronald Bersie. The couple made their home on a farm north of Waverly, where they milked cows for 40 years. Beverly helped with the daily farm and household chores. Together, they were blessed with four children: Barbara, Bruce, Susan, and Bradley. Beverly was an active member of St. Paul's Church in Montrose. After her children were grown, she worked at Pamida in Buffalo for five years and later volunteered for several years at the Wise Penny Thrift Store, where she enjoyed working alongside friends. In her free time, Beverly found joy in Christmas caroling, reading and creating craft projects. She will be remembered for her strong work ethic, devotion to family, and giving spirit.

She is survived by her children: Barbara Ashfeld (partner John Crawford); Bruce Bersie (Shelley Bersie); Susan Hewitt (Bradford Hewitt); and Bradley Bersie (Jane Bersie).

She is further survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer Ferkinhoff (Ben Ferkinhoff), Alex Bersie (Faith Dalhman), Matthew Hewitt (Jillian Hewitt), Melissa Hewitt (Charlie Westphal), Rachel Feliciano (Kevin Feliciano), Stephanie Bersie (Ruben Naour), and Tia Bersie. Great-grandchildren Paxton Hewitt, Obadiah Hewitt, Simon Feliciano. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Bersie, in April 2020.

Funeral will be held at St Paul's Lutheran Church (310 Buffalo Ave S, Montrose, MN 55363) on Saturday, January 10 th. Visitation from 9:00 – 11:00 AM, service at 11:00 AM, lunch at the church following the service. Donations: St Paul Lutheran Church.
