It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Botelho, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who departed this life surrounded by her loving family on January 15, 2026, at the age of 84. Beverly was born on July 19, 1941, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Upon completing High School she worked as a payroll clerk at Standish Johnson Co. in Providence, RI. She met her future husband, Manuel Botelho at a dance at the Lincoln Park Ballroom and married him six months later. She moved to her husband's farm in Middletown, Rhode Island where she resided until her passing.
Beverly's greatest joy came in her roles as a wife, mother and grandmother. She was married 64 years and together Bev and Manny created a loving home filled with warmth, devotion and a strong work ethic. Beverly cherished her family, finding happiness in the company of her loving daughters, Cheryl Zamil and Belinda Botelho, as well as her son in law Jim Zamil and grandchildren, Sarah and her husband Tom Kilborne, Andrew Zamil, Lillian Zamil, and Grace Zamil.
Known for her strong faithfulness, Beverly had a passion for sewing and cooking for her family. Her faith, love and support will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a funeral service which will be held on January 24 at Evangelical Friends Church of Newport, starting at 10:00 a.m. on 70 Bliss Mine Road, Middletown, RI. Beverly will be laid to rest at Newport Memorial Park on 123 Howland Avenue, Middletown, RI, following the service.
In this time of mourning, we reflect on the legacy of love and devotion that Beverly leaves behind. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and all who loved her. We invite you to celebrate her life with us as we remember her joy and kindness.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents: Clyde and Helena Young.
