Bren, Beverly J., "Bev" of Eden Prairie, born 9/22/34, passed peacefully at the age of 90 on May 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Olivia Honer, husband, Richard, and infant son, Jimmy, sisters Betty Hoffman, Ruth Roessler and Shirley Weil.
Bev graduated from Rochester High School '52 and the University of Minnesota '56. She taught Kindergarten in the Edina School District for over 30 years. Bev loved to play Bridge and belonged to many card clubs over the years. She also enjoyed traveling by car, plane, ship or bus throughout the states, Canada and Europe, and spending time at her children's cabins on Lakes Ida and Vermilion. Her greatest love was spending time with family, especially with her adored granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
Bev is survived by her daughter, Joni (Ralph) Teschner; son, Jerry (Loree) Bren; granddaughters, Krissi (Kevin) Green, Lauren (Brad Boldenow), Alyssa (Fiancé Adam Kneepkens) and Jenny (Ryan) Hatch; great-grandchildren, Grace and Robbie Green; sister, Jan (John) Shaffer; brother-in-law Bruce (Kaye) Bren; sister-in-law Barb Eigen; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
The family wants to give special thanks to the entire staff at Trouvaille Memory Care in Excelsior for their amazing and loving care of mom for the past few years, and to Grace Hospice for their wonderful care and support over the past few weeks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to BeneTrou (Trouvaille) 6330 Hazeltine Blvd, Excelsior MN 55331 preferred.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am on Wed., June 25, 2025, at Faith Presbyterian Church, 12007 Excelsior Blvd, Minnetonka, with visitation 1 hour before service, and luncheon to follow service. Inurnment will take place at Faith Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
