Beverly Danton Britt

Beverly Danton Britt, age 84, of Laurens, wife of Bob Britt, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. 

Born April 18, 1940 in Arlington, MA, and was a daughter of the late Ernest and Muriel Patch Danton. She worked as CFO at TopTec, Inc. in Hickory Tavern in the family business with her husband Bob. Bev was a strong Christian woman and devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Laurens where she served as a choir member and volunteer. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, crafting and singing with the Laurens County Chorale. 

In addition to her loving husband of 66 years, Bev is survived by her sons, Tim Britt (Judy) of Spartanburg, Scott Britt (Lori) of Peachtree City, GA, and Patrick Britt (Jennifer) of Simpsonville; her sister, Cynthia Coakley and her twin, Libby Hewes, both of Laurens; her grandchildren, Sally Walling (Chris), Hannah Harley (Shamel), Logan Britt, Nicholas Britt, Gracie Britt, Samantha Britt, Zoey Britt, and Jacob Britt; her great-grandchildren, Ophelia Walling, Adeline Walling and Annika Harley. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edward Danton.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the First Presbyterian Church of Laurens with Rev. Dr. Mike McCracken officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the church.
