Beverly Marie Calabrese

Beverly Marie Calabrese, 90, of Freehold passed away on February 26th 2026 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 9th, 1935 in Queens New York to an immigrant family. In 1963, Beverly moved to Manalapan, New Jersey, where she lovingly raised her three children and built a life rooted in hard work and determination. She loved music, especially Shirley Bassy, and playing games, particularly skippo, where she always played to win! Alongside her husband John (Sonny), she owned and operated Tri-County Alarm Systems in Freehold, NJ, building a successful family business through dedication and perseverance. After the company was sold, she continued her career as a switchboard operator for Charms Candy Company, where she worked many years before retiring. Her family was her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. She was known for her remarkable strength and resilience. Beverly faced life's challenges with courage and determination. Her competitive spirit, sharp wit and unwavering strength defined her and will be remembered by all who knew her and loved her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family.

Beverly was predeceased by all of her siblings: Francis and Phyllis Calabrese and Mathew, Raymond and Ralph Amitrano and her beloved son John Bellegue II. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law Deborah-Ann and Richard Halbeisen and Michelle and Gary Salva. Beverly was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Justin Halbeisen, Nicole Keller, Sara Lynn Micich, Taylor Bellegue, Johnny Bellegue III and Kale Bellegue. She was also blessed with 2 great grandchildren.

Family and Friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass at St. Gabriel's Historic Church, 549 Route 520, Marlboro on Saturday March 7th at 11:00AM.
