Born Friday, December 26, 1947 in Oakland, California, Charles was the son of the late Marvin and Goldie Bailey.
Charles spent most of his younger years in McAllister, Oklahoma. Eventually he would move to New Jersey, and there meet and marry Alice Leight. Charles worked in construction and was employed by Harms Construction Company in Howell. When Charles wasn't working he loved rooting for all the sports teams of the University of Oklahoma, especially the football team. Charles will be missed by those that love him.
Charles is predeceased by his beloved wife, Alice.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Angela O'Neal and her husband Jason, by his grandchildren, Hunter, Bailey, and Carlee, by his sister Gloria Converse, and by his brothers and sisters in law, Ann, John, Joe, Jim, Jeff and his wife Marilyn, Scott and his wife Sharon, and Kathy and her husband Jim.
A graveside prayer service will be at 11:15 AM on Tuesday at Chestnut Hill Cemetery located at Old Bridge Turnpike East Brunswick, New Jersey 08816.
