Beverly Carriere

Church Point, LA: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mrs. Beverly D. Carriere, 73, who passed away at 2:28 PM Thursday, May 23, at the Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and burial will take place in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35.
Beverly, a resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Leon Duplechien and the former Eurella Fontenot Duplechien. A loving wife, mother and grandmother; she was a talented seamstress who loved to cook and tend to her yard.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Leander Carriere of Church Point, LA; her step-mother, Judy Duplechien of Prairie Ronde, LA; her daughter, Lacy Carriere and fiancé Trenidy Duhon of Lake Charles, LA; her stepdaughter, Rochelle Fitzgerald and husband Eddie of Patterson, LA; eight grandchildren: Noah and Elijah Gaines, Ayden, Briea and Luna Duhon, Abby Paradee, Ryan Fitzgerald and Meredith Bonneval; her great-grandson, Talon Gaines and one sister, Arlene Richard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters, Rita Hargroder and Dale Joubert and her two brothers, Michael and Leon Troy Duplechien.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Saturday, May 25, from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM.
