Roberta C. Laughlin

Church Point, LA: A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2026 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Roberta C. Laughlin, 96, the former Roberta Carriere Guidry. Mrs. Laughlin, a native and resident of Church Point, LA, died Monday evening, March 16 at her residence. Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 AM Friday until the time of the Service, with a Rosary recited at 1:30 PM by Deacon Byrne Winn. Fr. Michael Vidrine, Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will conduct the Service with Entombment immediately following in the OLSH Mausoleum on Hwy 35.

Survivors include her daughters-in-law, Brenda Daigle Guidry of Church Point and Donna Olivier Guidry of Eunice, LA; her grandchildren: Brooke Harper and husband Ryan and Chelsea Guidry-all of Carencro, LA, Beau Guidry and Companion Macey Smith of Farmerville, LA and Ben Guidry and wife Amy of Church Point and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Luke and Odile Benoit Carriere; her first husband, Ignace Guidry; her second husband, Jake "JL" Laughlin and her sons, Michael and Brent Guidry.

A homemaker for most of her life; Mrs. Laughlin was a devout, devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Truly loved, she will be missed by her extended family and all who knew her.
